The OPD desk, rebuilt around one list
One searchable list per business day, four states that are all observable from the desk, and a walk-in that books, tokens, charges and settles in a single step.
The outpatient screen is now one list for the day. Search by name, MRN, phone or token; switch between the open queue and the whole day; everything else is a click on a row.
Four states, all of them true
An appointment is Booked, Checked In, Cancelled or No show. Nothing else. We removed in consultation, completed and left unseen because nobody at the desk can actually observe them — a receptionist does not know the moment a consultation ends, and a state nobody can verify is a state that is always wrong.
A walk-in is one action
A patient who arrives without booking is registered if needed, given a token, charged the consultation fee for that practitioner, and paid up — as one atomic operation. If any part fails, nothing is half-recorded. Reception can drop the consultation fee with one toggle when the visit is a free follow-up; no reason form, no approval.
Filters live in the URL
Which day, which filter, which row is open — all of it is in the address bar. Refresh and you are where you were; send the link to a colleague and they see the same list.
